Power Outages & Wildfires Plague California

Posted 10/30/2019

As wildfires continue to sweep across California, the situation is becoming more and more difficult for the state's inhabitants and businesses. Over 190,000 people have been evacuated from their homes due to the spreading blaze, which may take up to another week and a half to get fully contained.

Power outages have impacted the area since Saturday, and while some individuals have had power restored, those restorations are short lived. Businesses without power, including multiple receiving warehouses in the affected region, have had to shut down operations. With the lack of power and staff to operate the warehouses, incoming shipments are having to be re-directed or held causing delays and increased costs.

Communications are also being impacted as the back up battery power sources the cell towers are currently running on have begun to dwindle.

Our thoughts are with all the individuals and businesses in the midst of this difficult situation, and we hope that power can be restored and the wildfires contained as soon as possible.

As always, we will keep you updated on this situation, and please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
