The 10 + 2 importing requirements proposed by CBP came into full effect January 26, 2010.  CBP has since provided an Importer Presentation and detailed FAQs to help educate the public about the new requirements.  Please follow the links above to learn more about these security regulations. ADVISORY ON CBP 10 + 2 INTERIM FINAL RULE

Maersk Line has sent out an advisory regarding CBP's 10 + 2 Interim Final Rule, which will require additional information to be submitted to CBP before cargo is brought into the U.S.

10 PLUS 2 UPDATE
July 18, 2008

We have learned from House Ways and Means Committee staff that CBP may be sending the proposed rule for 10+2 to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) at the end of July for review, with a target publication date of 9/1/08.Any rules that are published by CBP or any other agency must first be reviewed by OMB.
