Hurricane Dorian Port Update
As Hurricane Dorian makes its way up the East Coast, it continues to unleash powerful winds and rains. The storm made landfall in North Carolina this morning, causing flooding in the Outer Banks. The storm is expected to remain a powerful force as it travels upward, and residents in both North Carolina and Virginia are encouraged to take extra precautions. In some areas, evacuations have been implemented. Our hearts and thoughts go out to everyone in the hurricane's path.
North Carolina ports of Wilmington and Morehead City closed to commercial operations yesterday 9/5 and remain closed today 9/6. Likewise, the US Coast Guard declared condition ZULU for Hampton Roads Port in Virginia which has now closed its shipping channels and vessel operations.
Regular port operations have resumed at South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida ports.
