Hurricane Milton Impact

Posted 10/09/2024

On the heels of Hurricane Helene comes another intense weather event, on track to be much more devastating. Hurricane Milton is set to make landfall on Florida's western shore Wednesday night. Currently rated as a Category 4, the hurricane is expected to bring about record rain and winds topping out at 155mph. The landfall timing is expected to coincide with high tide which will enhance the impact of the storm. Our thoughts are with all of those within the hurricane's path, and we hope for the safety of all in the region.

Due to the storm, Florida ports announced closures earlier this week. Port of Tampa, Port Canaveral, Port of Palm Beach and Jaxport are all closed under condition Zulu which calls for the stop of all vessel operations. Please be aware of potential delays with cargo movements within the next several days due to road closures and port operations being altered. We will continue to monitor this situation and provide updates accordingly.
