Positive News for Rail Negotiations
President Biden announced yesterday that there is a definitive direction in place for resolving the rail labor negotiation issues, and this direction will not involve strike action. In the President's statement yesterday he declared, "I am calling on Congress to pass legislation immediately to adopt the Tentative Agreement between railroad workers and operators – without any modifications or delay – to avert a potentially crippling national rail shutdown."
This news is met with a sign of relief from the industry in the midst of the holiday rush, and we are more than thankful to avoid any congestion issues that a work stoppage would incur.
