Strike at Port of Montreal this Week
The Maritime Employers Association received a strike notice regarding terminals at the Port of Montreal. The strike will commence Monday, July 27 at 7:00 a.m. and will last until Friday, July 31 at 6:59 a.m. During this strike time, mooring and cargo handling services at the port will cease, as the Longshoremen's Union C.U.P.E., Local 375 and the Maritime Employers Association work to reach an agreement.
The Port of Montreal and its partners expect to return to normal operations starting Friday, July 31 at 7:00 a.m. with necessary efforts made to make up for the delays caused by this exceptional situation.
We are monitoring this situation and will keep you informed of any developments as needed.
