Strikes Announced in France
Just this morning we received word that “Several trade unions in France have called for two days of strikes…as the government faces a no-confidence vote in parliament over its unpopular labour reforms bill that was forced through parliament…without a vote.”…. The strike measures have been announced for May 17-19, 2016.
As the strike announcement is general, we don’t know the impact yet. However, TLF (FF association) informed us that some truckers have decided to block some strategic places like ports, freight areas–like the Bruges inlands depots entry where the Albatrans Bordeaux office is based–but also in some other cities.
We will do our best to mitigate any delays that could occur and we will keep you informed about this situation!
