Toronto Trucker Strike
The Container Trucking Association of Ontario (CTAO) withdrew several of their services in Toronto last week in an effort to increase their compensation from employers. All facilities in Toronto remain open to truckers, but many who have chosen to continue working have received violent threats meant to intimidate them into joining the strike.
For more information, please see the attached notification sent by Hapag-Lloyd advising customers to re-route their cargo to avoid terminal delays due to this strike.
We will continue to keep you informed of this situation. As always, if you have any questions or concerns regarding the strike, please contact us.
