Tropical Storm Debby Port Update

Tropical Storm Debby has moved back out to the Atlantic but is scheduled to make a second landfall Thursday on the coast of South Carolina. The storm is expected to bring extensive rainfall leading to possible flooding up the East Coast. The Southeast ports are operating but some with adjusted operations which are details below:
- South Carolina ports are open with reduced gate hours.
- North Carolina’s Governor yesterday declared a state of emergency and today, the USCG moved Wilmington Harbor to a modified Yankee port condition and the Wilmington Harbor will be closed to inbound vessel traffic today. Facilities in Wilmington and Morehead City remain open with normal operating schedule, for now.
- Governor Youngkin of Virginia also declared a state of emergency on August 6th as preparations continue for the heavy rains. The Virginia ports currently remain open.
- Georgia ports have reopened and are operating under normal hours
