Schedule Disruptions in Australia Ports

Due to ongoing industrial action at terminals around Australia, shippers are experiencing delays and disruption. While this has been an ongoing problem for the last month, all reports indicate that the disruption will continue throughout September and may trickle into October. Furthermore, steamship lines are implementing congestion surcharges, primarily for cargo utilizing the port of Sydney and charges are in the $300/TEU (Twenty Foot Equivalent Unit) range.  Most of our wine shipments are not transiting Sydney, but the congestion surcharge may spread to other ports, and we will send out further updates as the situation develops.
