Severe Rainfall in British Columbia Suspends Rail Activities
Unprecedented rainfall in British Columbia has brought with it a slew of issues in an already stressed supply chain. Streets and homes in both Western Washington and British Columbia have been engulfed by water creating washouts and severe water damage.
In Vancouver both major Canadian railways have suspended operations as the railroads themselves are washed out and inaccessible. Consequently, the port of Vancouver is also inaccessible to domestic inland locations. Many carriers are exploring re-routing options, and if you have cargo destined for the port, please consider alternative options.
We will continue to keep you informed of this issue, and hope for a speedy recovery of the impacted areas.
