Strike Action in Germany

Germany ports continue to prepare for strike action as negotiations between German port employers and the dockworkers union (United Services Union ver.di) have yet to come to a shared agreement. Carriers in the ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven are calling for potential slowdowns, especially tomorrow, June 23rd, beginning at 6am. If you have containers moving in or out of either of these ports, please prepare for delays and congestion as a result of these work slowdowns and potential strikes.
