Strike Disruption in France

As we reported previously, strikes and disruption in France continue, this time with another massive strike which was announced for next week starting Tuesday January 31st.

Our offices in France reported that more than a million people marched through French cities last Thursday which prompted the country’s leading trade unions to call for a second day of strikes to force the French government to back down on its pension reform plan.

Similar disruption activity is to be expected for logistics. Further details are pending, but please expect LE HAVRE and FOS SUR MER port activities to be completely stopped on this Jan 31st next week. As always, we will work with our teams to mitigate delays as much as possible, but please plan accordingly if you have goods departing from France.
