Bad Weather Forces Closures at the Port of NY/NJ

Due to the deteriorating weather conditions, the Maher Terminal at the Port of NY/NJ closed their truck line operations at 12 noon today. They will process the remaining trucks on terminal and plan to resume operations at 6:00 a.m. Should there be any changes they will notify via burst email and the Maher website. Additionally, APMT cut inbound processing today at 12:30. Also, GCT Bayone is closing their inbound gates at 2pm and GCT NY will close inbound gates at 1:30pm.

The Port of Newark also put out a statement, “Due to worsening weather conditions, PNCT will be shutting off the truck line effective immediately. They will attempt to service all trucks that are already on line.”

For all the terminals closing early, every effort will be made to service all truckers currently on terminal.
